The project

Power, generated where it's used.

AI is changing what digital infrastructure needs. It needs large, steady blocks of power, delivered reliably and at scale. In much of the country, new demand can wait years for grid capacity.

Lancaster One takes a different path. The campus brings together large-scale solar, energy storage, on-site firming and next-generation data infrastructure on one site. Clean power is produced, managed and used in one place, which eases pressure on the regional grid.

How we build

We plan for the long term, follow a careful process and work closely with the community.

    Thorough environmental review

    The project is going through review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), with the City of Lancaster as lead agency.

  • 02

    Careful use of resources

    The campus is designed to use land, energy and water efficiently. Habitat and cultural resources are being studied as part of the environmental review.

    Local investment

    The project will create construction and long-term operating jobs and support the local economy.

  • 04

    Long-term stewardship

    We are planning for the full life of the campus, from construction through operations, together with the community.

Through the evening

Storage that keeps the day's power working after dark.

Battery storage and on-site firming carry clean power through the evening and through changing conditions, so the campus runs on its own generation around the clock.

Public participation

Public input is an important part of the review process. The City of Lancaster manages the opportunities to comment, including public notices, meetings and hearings. The City will announce them through its official channels.

Development team

Aster Energy Development

Aster Energy Development LLC, a project company of GGF Partners, is developing Lancaster One in collaboration with FPH2, its development partner on the project.

GGF develops large-scale infrastructure that supplies on-site power to AI computing. It brings together generation, storage and digital infrastructure, and it leads each project from site selection through financing and delivery.

Together, the team brings project development, energy and infrastructure experience to Lancaster One, and works closely with the City of Lancaster and the local community.
